Magic Broomstick Tours – The Devonport Segway Experience

Imagine this:   A sightseeing tour of Devonport that’s truly unique, learning all the secrets of the historic village with a local guide sharing their knowledge, climbing to the top of a volcanic cone with absolutely no physical effort, experiencing a new sensation that’s fantastic fun.

You’ll get it all and more on our Segway tour of Devonport.

Our guides are experts in teaching people to enjoy the great feeling of gliding along on a Segway.   So after your complimentary training session you’ll be off to enjoy the ride, the gob-smacking views of Auckland City and the Hauraki Gulf, the historic Military forts and tunnels, the disappearing gun and the company of family and friends new and old.

If you’re 13yrs or over and can easily step up and down stairs, come on a 1 hour or 2 hour tour.

1 hour tours take you around the waterfront to the top of North Head riding your Segway Personal Transporter.   You’ll be awed by the views and can stretch your legs as you take a look through the tunnels and old gun emplacements.

 2 hour tours continue on through the village past the Edwardian villas and pristine parks finally gliding to the top of Mt. Victoria where the stunning view of Auckland city awaits and the disappearing gun is hidden.

Take a short ride to experience that Segway buzz – suitable for those 10 yrs and over.

For technical reasons the Segway has a weight restriction between 45kgs and 120kgs. (99lbs to 264lbs) Helmets are provided.  Closed flat shoes are highly recommended as are bookings.  There’s a maximum of 5 participants per tour.

Events: Not only for special occasions.   If you have more than 5 people in your group we’ll organise some Segway fun and games. Also great for team building or corporate events.
